The Mini-Note is powered by a 1.2-GHz VIA C7-M processor and 1GB of RAM and produced a PCMark05 score of 1,006, which isn't blazing but is more than 200 points better than the 2go PC's 780 score. Our Mini-Note came with Windows XP Professional installed on a 5,400-rpm 120GB hard drive (which is protected by an accelerometer) you can configure the system with Vista Business, Vista Home Basic, FreeDOS, or the SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 operating system. The built-in stereo speakers were surprisingly loud, but as with the majority of notebooks in this class, they lacked sufficient low-end punch. It's not enough their machiens are over priced, (maybe if they moved all their factories here the prices would justified), but they're just sucking in cash in a race to be not only the first trillion dollar company but maintain that status. Now, everything they do has to have some dollar and cents making aspect to it. I only wish Apple would return to its early days of keeping things workable, current, and useful. Then you can export the note in a number of different ways when needed. With MiniNote, you can pin important notes to the top of the list, and create notes on the fly when on the phone or need to write a thought down quickly without having to open a full fledged application to do it. Yes, they functioned just like real stickies, where you grab one and post it just about anywhere you have a space - but then your desk top is a mess and you can't find anything at all. I've tried doing this with Apple's Stickies, but they were always out of order, type to tiny to see when rolled up, and just messy. It sits perfectily at thte top of my screen very unobtrusively, yet is always ready to be used at a seconds notice.
